My experience with the Litter Genie Cat Litter Disposal System
I was so excited to be accepted into a Sample and Share opportunity from Crowdtap! The sent me my very own Litter Genie Cat Litter Disposal System to try...absolutely free! It came with one refill, a pooper scooper, and a tray that attaches to the side of the Litter Genie which holds the pooper scooper. Here's what the Litter Genie looks like (please excuse the wall behind it...didn't realize how dirty it looks by the backdoor lol) The Litter Genie comes with a simple, easy-to-follow instruction book and I had the product set up in about two minutes!
I have a multi-cat household (and of course multiple litter boxes) but I am featuring only one of the boxes in this blog post for the sake of simplicity. The box in the pictures here was VERY dirty and hadn't been cleaned for a couple of days. I should also note that the litter box featured here is a self-cleaning box. You simply tilt it to the side and the clumps gather in the tray with the handle that you see on the right. Because of this feature, I did not have to use the pooper scooper that is included with the Litter Genie starter kit. I do want to comment on the scooper itself, though. I do have some boxes in the house that require scooping with a pooper scooper, therefore, I have dealt with my share of flimsy pooper scoopers that have bent and broken on me, flinging nasty litter clumps in my face and everywhere else. The poop scoop that is included with the Litter Genie feels sturdy, and I did use it today on one of my regular boxes and it performed quite well!
Overall, the Litter Genie makes cleaning up after your beloved furbabies easier and more pleasant! It is quick and easy to set up and made of a lightweight, durable plastic. It is also aesthetically pleasing and looks sleek and modern. I would recommend it to anyone who has an inside cat with a litterbox they have to clean out!

Like I said, that was one dirty litter box!!

All those smelly clumps now out of sight and out of smell thanks to Litter Genie!
I loved how convenient the Litter Genie was, sitting next to the litter box like that. I didn't have to have anyone help me hold the bag while I pour the clumps in or wrestle with the bag AND the clumps myself (which is what normally ends up happening). I normally try to re-use grocery bags to put dirty litter in but they sometimes have unseen holes in them that allow dirty litter to escape onto my floors which is very unsanitary. They also have to be immediately taken to the garbage or they will cause a stink! None of this is even an issue with the Litter Genie.

All clean now! All the stink and nasty is tucked neatly away from sight and smell!

You wouldn't know there is something horrible inside that sleek, modern looking container!!

I haven't posted any of my trips in awhile so I decided to post my transactions from this morning. Nothing very spectacular really, I burned a few ECB's but I am happy with my purchases. I as going to do the Nivea deal but the lotions at my store were in the $8.xx range and I don't get % off coupons anymore, so I decided to leave the lotion on the shelf. subtotal $8.00

(probably could have gotten these cheaper at some point, but I am eager to switch to a natural apdo and my son has a problem swallowing toothpaste, so we are switching him to non-flouride kind)

Awesome 7/7/13 CVS Trip $13.55 Money maker (plus $8 bonus)!!
Today I had great luck at CVS and made $13.55 off my own skills and $8 because I had a little glitch....more about that later. Here's how it went down:
Bought
(8) Pantene shampoo (8@3.50/ea=$28.00
(2) Dawn dish detergent (2@ .97/ea=$1.94
(1) Kit Kat minis ($3.00)
(1) Softsoap body wash ($2.99)
(1) Tena pads ($6.99)
(1) Tena underwear ($13.99)
Coupons
(1) $4 off $20 from CVS email
(2) $2 off 2 Pantene (coupons.com)
(4) Buy one Pantene shampoo, get Pantene conditioner free (7/7/13 PG)(auto-deducted $4.99/ea!!)
(1) $3 off any $15 shampoo (CVS coupon machine)
(1) $14.00 off Tena underwear (reduced to $13.99)
(1) $7 off Tena pads (reduced to $6.99)
(1) $.25 off Dawn dish detergent ( 7/7/13 PG)
(1) $.50 off Dawn hand renewal (home mailer)
(1) $2 off Softsoap (CVS coupon machine)
(1) $2.50 off Kit Kat (reduced to $2.22 since it was the last coupon and my total was a little under)
subtotal $0.00
tax $3.45
total $3.45...just tax!
Ok here is where things went a little off. The only ECB that printed was a $5 and a $3 and neither said what they were for. I was expecting a $10 for P&G and a $7 for Tena, so I told the clerks in the store. At first, one tried to tell me that it was because I used coupons. I very politely said that it goes off the before coupon price, and that is how I get all my ECB's. I said I could call customer service but I would rather just get it taken care of now. She quickly changed her tune and immediately force printed the $10 and $7 ECB's. I told her I am an honest person and do not want anything I am not supposed to have and asked here if she wanted to keep the $5 and $3 ECB and she said that I should keep them since they printed out for me and they are mine. So, I ended up with not just $17 ECB, but $25 worth. When I got home and looked at my receipt more thoroughly, I saw that my receipts says this: "Tide-Earn up to 10EB Amount toward this reward 29.94 Spend .06 more, Get 5.00 ExtraBucks" I feel bad now but I have decided that I will not go back to get another .06 to get the ECB because that would not be right, and I also haven't *quite* made up my mind about the extra $8 in ECB yet either.
Bottom line: Spent $3.45 (tax) and received $25.00 ECB so thats a $21.55 Money Maker!!
